Earn advanced college credit:
Articulation Agreements
Articulation agreements between high schools
and colleges are developed in technical areas in which high school
and college faculty identify duplication in curriculum. Articulation
agreements allow high school students to receive college credit
for advanced work that they have completed while still in high school.
Currently, advanced college credit may be awarded
toward the following college programs through specific high schools:
- Allied Health / Nursing / Pre-Nursing
- Business Administration / Careers
- Computer Information Systems
- Culinary Arts
- Engineering
- Engineering Technology (TechPath)
- Environmental Science
- Horticulture
- Hospitality Administration
- Travel and Tourism
Contact the Tech Prep office at 413-499-4660, ext.
2180, or your High School Tech
Prep Coordinator to determine which options may be available
through your local high school.

Awarding of
Articulated College Credit
Tech Prep students who have completed high school
with a minimum overall high school grade point average of 2.0 (C
average) on a 4.0 scale and who have completed the high school courses
listed under their articulation agreement with a 3.0 or 3.5 (as
specified) will be granted college credit for the course(s) described
in the agreement.
- Credit is awarded upon completion of the first
college semester. Student competencies are evaluated by the high
school teacher and the college faculty.
- Students should mention their Tech Prep program
when they come to the college to talk to an advisor and register
for classes. The Tech Prep office will verify a student's records
and have the credit posted to his or her transcript as appropriate.
If you participated in Tech Prep in high school and
believe that you may be eligible to receive college credit through
Tech Prep, contact the Tech Prep office at 413-499-4660, ext. 2180
or email: jhannum@berkshirecc.edu
