Exercise Prescription Program
(Available ONLY to BCC Employees)
The Exercise Prescription Program is designed to allow
BCC Faculty and Staff to work with one of BCC's student fitness
trainers to develop an individual exercise program based on your
specific needs, goals, and health issues. The student trainers are
available Monday through Friday, 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. The program runs
for ten (10) weeks under the supervision of Sherry Scheer, BCC Allied
Health professor.
If you are new to this program, you will be asked
to complete health history and exercise consent forms. In addition,
participants under a doctor's care will be required to provide a
written physician's approval to participate in the program. If you
previously participated in the program and your health circumstances
have changed, you will need to inform the coordinator (Prof. Scheer)
of the program and complete another health history form.
Look for additional postings in Paterson Fieldhouse
concerning the exact start dates for each program. If you have any
questions or concerns, please call Ruth Reynolds at ext. 2108 or
Sherry Scheer at ext. 4511.
The student Exercise Prescription Program is the two-credit
course, PED 135. For further information please go to the Academic
Programs web pages.
